Team Faraj’s GOTV starts in the heart of Tremont
As we approach the Primary Election day on September 9th, Team Mohammad Faraj begins its GOTV Canvass series for Mohammad Faraj for Ward 7 Cleveland City Council today starting at Roasted Tremont. Roasted is located on Professor Ave in the heart of Tremont.
It is also just up the road from Lincoln Park which hosts the Tremont Farmers Market every Tuesday. The farmers market includes over 30 vendors selling fresh fruit and produce, canned goods, baked goods, and a variety of handcrafted foods and art from local producers and artists. The farmers market begins at 4pm but also provides the opportunity for vulnerable populations to shop early beginning at 3:30pm where Produce Perks are available and EBT is accepted.
Tremont as one of the oldest and most storied neighborhoods in Cleveland has a rich history in the city and the people who live there today continue to reflect this. Tremont is known for its thriving culture scene with many local restaurants, shops, and galleries. This is a neighborhood that supports each other and expects a councilor who will do the same. That is why availability to the residents has been the number one priority heard from residents on the doors and in conversations by the campaign about what they want to see in their next councilman.
Availability to residents is certainly a leading commitment for Mohammad Faraj’s candidacy as part of his Accessible City Services priority and is something he intends to remain committed to once elected. Responsive city departments, timely trash clean up, reliable public transportation, proactive engagement—these are how residents experience government in their everyday lives and therefore should be prioritized.
Along the same lines of community, we see Reliable Public Safety as a high priority for the Tremont neighborhood. Once elected to city council for Cleveland’s Ward 7, Mohammad hopes to help expand Cleveland’s understanding of what creates a safe community, as he believes that investing in the everyday lives of residents is what ultimately prevents crime. This starts with helping to maintain thriving block clubs while investing in the safety of residents through pedestrian well-being and limiting carjackings and gun violence.
Mohammad looks forward to continuing to listen to the priorities and needs of the residents of Ward 7 as the Team begins this GOTV Canvass series with a strong start in Tremont. For Ward 7 residents who live in Tremont, there are two different polling locations, one being Tremont Montessori located at 2409 W 10th St, Cleveland, OH 44113 for those who live north of Starkweather Ave. If you haven’t confirmed your polling location, visit the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections website to confirm.
Don’t forget to vote Tuesday, September 9th the ward’s first open race in over 30 years! Polls open at 6:30am and close at 7:30pm.
